Hi I’m Samantha Shepherd and I specialise in restoring old chairs, whether they are cherished antiques or beloved family pieces, to ensure they can be enjoyed for years to come.

Using traditional materials like horsehair and techniques that suit the age of each chair, I bring a timeless touch to my work. Additionally, I embrace modern methods, incorporating foam and an eco-friendly product called Ultraflex, made from recycled plastic bottles, which is free from harmful chemicals and better for the environment.

Beyond upholstery, I have a passion for horse riding, racing, and taking my dog Jasper on pheasant shoots. These interests inspire my work, leading to the creation of beautiful hunting and racing armchairs, as well as designs featuring pheasants.
